Products : Conservatories : Styles
No two conservatory designs at Nolan uPVC are ever the same. There are so many variations in size, style, window openings, roof and glazing options, colour, accessories that all are bespoke to each individual customer. However, as a good starting point and guide, here are the most popular.
Edwardian/Georgian
Edwardian/Georgian conservatories are simple and elegant in their design with classical, straight lines typical of a bygone era. Although they tend to be compact, the right angled corners mean they appear and feel extremely spacious when inside.
Victorian
The Victorian conservatory is elegant in its design with an angled roof, ornate cresting and finial and different facets (3 or 5 angled sides) to suit the location or individual. An innovative roofing system makes it extremely versatile as both the span and pitch can be varied to suit specific requirements.
Lean to/Modern
The lean to conservatory tends to be modern and simple in style and is often called a sunroom or garden room. The roof isn't as high as Victorian or Edwardian styles and is particularly suited to bungalows or houses with height restrictions.
P Shaped
A P Shaped conservatory is the perfect choice if you want the maximum amount of space with one end of it projected further out then the rest. It combines Victorian and lean to styling and can span the whole length of a property or most of it, to suit.
T Shaped
Much liked the P Shape, the T Shaped conservatory is extremely spacious and can create maximum space with two areas either side of a central projection. Symmetrical in appearance, placing doors in the centre can create a porch effect.
Gable End
Whether Victorian or Edwardian/Georgian, the Gable End conservatory is charming and stylish with the gable often embelished with a classic sunburst feature which can be further enhanced with decorative glass.
Corner Infill
The Corner Infill as its name suggests fits neatly in to the space in between two walls. It can be extremely cost effective as often only requires construction of two outside walls.
Box Gutter
Whatever style you choose, Box Gutter means that the conservatory will be adjoined to the existing property's wall and will drain both the property's roof and the conservatory roof at the same time.
Hipped Back
Whatever style you choose, Hipped Back means that the roof of the conservatory peaks then slopes back downwards towards the wall of the house.
