You can tell a lot about a company by the organizations it has earned accreditation with and the awards it has won. Collectively these endorsements provide reassurance to customers that they are dealing with a credible business that will not let them down.
FENSA
In the world of double glazing, a good measure of credibility and quality is if a company is FENSA registered. Standing for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme and set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) at the request of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, it exists to ensure homeowners receive a certificate of compliance from installers on the thermal performance standards of replacement windows and doors.
Secured by Design
Secured by Design is the UK Police flagship initiative supporting the principles of 'designing out crime'.It assesses products by simulating typical physical tests based on common methods of burglary. Successful products earn Secured by Design approval and the right to display a license number and logo. At Nolan uPVC all doors are fitted with Safeware locks - an advanced Secured by Design approved, seven point locking system. In Wales, we were the first double glazing to earn such approval.
Kitemarks
The British Standard's Institute (BSI) Kite Mark is a globally recognised symbol of quality, indicating the product it relates to has undergone some of the most rigourous testing processes in the world. At Nolan uPVC, our doors have been awarded BSI PAS023 and 024. In the UK only a handful of companies have earned these Kitemarks.
BBA Certification
British Board of Agrément Certificates have been providing authoritative and independent information on the performance of building products for over 40 years. It is the UK's major approval body for new construction products and installers and its certificates are recognised by specifiers and other industry decision-makers as proof that the products covered by them have been rigorously assessed, will allow compliance with Building Regulations to be achieved and will last for a defined period. At Nolan uPVC our windows and doors have BBA certificates and enhanced BBA accreditation in recognition of their security features.
 Glassex Awards
The Glassex Awards is the UK's only event dedicated to the glass and glazing industry and is attended by all the major players in the UK. Nolan uPVC has won no less than two of these prestigious national awards, scooping Domestic Installer of the Year and Promotional Campaign of the Year.
A fine achievement in itself made even more remarkable given that we were not only the first Welsh firm to reach the finals, but the first to actually win.
 Employer of the Year
In recognition of our support for the West Wales Employment Agency's New Deal Scheme, we were delighted to be awarded Employer of the Year at the West Wales Achievement Awards 2002. The awards are run by the West Wales Employment Agency to recognise companies in the area's three counties of Carmarthenshire, Cardiganshire and Pembrokeshire which recruit and train the long-term unemployed.
Arts & Business Award
The Arts & Business Cymru Awards encourage, acknowledge and celebrate exemplary partnerships between business and the arts. Early this year, Nolan uPVC was nominated for an Arts & Business Cymru Award in the 'Arts & Small Business' category. It received the nomination by the prestigious Wales Millennium Centre in recognition of its generous and ground-breaking sponsorship of guided tours at this landmark Welsh venue. The Arts & Business Cymru Awards Ceremony will take place at the Wales Millennium Centre on Monday 9 July 2007.
Wales Millennium Centre
Our exclusive sponsorship of daily guided tours at Wales Millennium Centre (WMC) since spring 2006 and on going into 2008 is groundbreaking for a family run, independent double glazing company. With the strapline 'providing a window on Wales Millennium Centre', these tours reveal every nook and cranny both front and backstage and attract over 24,000 visitors a year. Our financial support to this landmark facility has earned Nolan uPVC recognition as WMC Partners alongside national and international names HSBC, Tesco and Legal & General.
 Cardiff Blues
Nolan uPVC has earned official accreditation as a principal partner of Cardiff Blues rugby club alongside big name companies BMI Baby, Blackhorse, HSS Hire and Worthingtons. As sleeve sponsors, our two year commitment will help raise awareness for the Cardiff-based operation of our business.
